With the eCUBATOR innovation unit, Knorr-Bremse is strengthening its research and development activities.
The eCUBATOR division stands for an agile working environment, cross-functional teams and flat hierarchies. The team working for eCUBATOR comprises up to 60 experts at external locations in Munich and Budapest. They are dedicated exclusively to the strategic evaluation and advanced development of Knorr-Bremse's forward-looking E-Mobility portfolio.
The eCUBATOR bundles technical experience and interdisciplinary know-how and provides space for outside-the-box-thinking. It is designed to facilitate a fast and efficient response to any new challenges that arise. This setting will foster innovation and knowledge spillovers between cross-functional teams.
The eCUBATOR provides an inspiring, target-oriented working environment for individuals with a hands-on mentality. All systems developed will ultimately be fed into our e-technology demonstrator truck.
Knorr-Bremse is the world market leader for braking systems and a leading supplier of other systems for commercial vehicles. Our ambition in the eCUBATOR is not only to defend this status, but also to develop new areas of business, partnerships and alliances around the topic of E-Mobility over the next years.
Dirk Hochstein – Vice President E-Mobility
The high innovative power in our eCUBATOR is based on our agile way of working. By doing so, we think laterally and cross-functionally across existing system boundaries.
Daniel Geis-Esser – Product Manager Customer Strategy E-Mobility
The eCUBATOR in Budapest is not only a think tank - we also have our own workshop for prototypes. Here, we can act independently and work on future trends - in other words, just exactly what we engineers like!
